Some animals make better pets then others. Everybody has a different opinion on what makes a good pet. So I put together a list that I think will help anybody out their looking to buy a new pet.
1. Dogs:
Dog’s are probably the most obvious animal on the list. They are
loyal, obedient, active, and most of all trainable. Dogs come in
many shapes and sizes so you have a wide range of breeds to choose
from. Another great thing about dogs is that they take on thei
owner’s personality which might be why they are called man’s best
friend.
2. Cats:
Cat’s are going to be next on the list. Some people don’t like cats
ecause they are so independent. On the other hand, that is exactly
why other people like them so much. Cats make great pets, I mean
Come on now, how many of us know somebody who owns a cat.
3. Fish:
Fish make great pets because of the minimal work it take’s to take
care of them. Also, fish come any a limitless number of colors and
varieties. Just be aware that salt water fish take quite a bit more
work to care for then fresh water fish.
4. Snakes:
Now i know that a lot of people don’t like snakes, but from a
strictly pet ownership stand point, snakes make great pets. snakes
are calm, clean, and you only have to feed them once a week.
5. Birds:
Birds can make great pets too. Birds are intelligent and can live fo
many years. Be sure that you do your research first because their are
some breeds that can make your life a living hell.
6. Tortoises:
Tortoises are just awesome. Not only can they easily live over a
hundred years but they also are very low maintenance. Tortoises are
clean, quite, and they are also vegetarians.
7. Bearded dragons:
If you don’t know what a bearded dragon is then all you have to do is
go down to your local pet store. Bearded dragons are type of lizard.
They are very calm, docile and cheap to take care of. They are also
unique and thus an attention getter. All your friends will want to
hold it.
8. Rats:
I know what your thinking, Rats! Rats are some of the most loyal
animals you can own. They might look a little unattractive but
their lovable personalities will win you over in no time at all. Just
make sure that you get one from a reputable breeder otherwise you
could find yourself with an angry rodent.
9. Skunks:
Skunks are not only cute and cuddly they also have great
personalities. Be sure you have the skunk de-perfumed be for you
uy it and also be careful because skunks are illegal to own in many
states. So be sure to check your local laws.
10. Pigs:
In my opinion pigs are one of the coolest pets to own. Pig are
extremely intelligent and personable. You do have to be sure that you
have adequate room and the financial ability to care for it. Also you
have to make sure that they are not illegal to own in your state.
Everybody is going to have a different opinion of what makes a good pet.So
go out and do some research because a good pet can be one of your best friends and long term companions.
